The design is a straight-forward arrangement influenced by good practice thinking because in reality design does not just fall into place. It is worked up over time, often with a great deal of to-ing and fro-ing – the straight-fowardedness is often elusive. Good practice thinking is a font for straight-forwardness.
This extension gives the owners much needed additional space. The design for the extension remains sympathetic to the old house but also uses improved thinking in relation to the management of energy.
