The site is large, steep and heavily wooded. Judicious clearance will be undertaken to provide timber building platforms as foundation. A lower building provides for garaging and an apartment. A family house sits at the higher level. A funicular rail in conjunction with a timber and stone switchback provide access to the family house.
The aesthetic of the house makes reference to (and takes lessons from) late modern work in Titirangi.
